Having just completed a two year tour with
his show Tribute, Gielgud's Ages of Man, first performed at
the Edinburgh Free Festival, George Innes returns once again
to introduce his new show, Fire and the Rose. New York playwright and producer , Maire Martello brings another intense production to Edinburgh as well known veteran television and film actor George Innes, eloquently depicts man's struggle out of the darkness in The Beginning with the loss of Eden. Sometimes whimsical, often ironical, the beginnings and the ends of life observed through notables such as the Nuremburg War Criminals to Bernard Shaw, the infamous and the famous bear witness to some of humanity's poignant as well as horrific acts. The audience finds man emerging into the light with the promise of hope atop Dylan Thomas' green hills. Fire and the Rose will be performed from August 5-28, 2011 , 3:45pm at the Espionage , The Mata Hari Room, bottom floor, 4 India Buildings , Victoria /Cowgate. Edinburgh, Scotland, Venue # 185.
